In House works

At Swandene we strive the keep as much work as we can “in-house”. This enables us to control quality, cost & efficiency which benefits both ourselves and you as our client.
We employ over 40 specialist tradesmen many of whom have been with us from being apprentices. A low turnover of personnel enables us to maintain the skills & our famous quality of workmanship.

Bespoke Joinery

In our purpose built, state of the art woodworking mill we have the tradesmen and machinery capable of producing any mould shape or structure that can be drawn. Work is carried out by highly skilled time served professional wood machinists

Our processed timbers are worked and assembled by our time served specialist joinery department, all expert tradesmen, brought up through the ranks to give us continuity of a product that is the envy of our competitors.
All joinery works are assembled prior to leaving our factory meaning minimal site installation is required.
We have teams of skilled site fixing joiners working closely with the manufacturing department who will install the pre-fabricated units on site.

French Polishing

Applying that final finish to enhance our quality products, we have a purpose built spray and polishing department, providing any shade, colour or specialist effect our clients may require. All work is carried out by time served French polishers.

Upholstery

Swandene has its own in house upholstery department, manned by time served skilled craftsmen, turning bare frames into luxurious items of furniture.

Floorlaying

Swandene is unique, in the fact that it has it’s own in house flooring department, i.e. We do sub-contract this specialist work.

We supply and fit:

Carpet – Domestic contract
Timber flooring
Vinyl – Altro, Karndean, Forbo, etc.
Lino and lino tiles
Ceramic floor tiles
Entrance matting

We also sand, prepare and re-polish existing timber floors.

Preparation is the key to our quality of finish!

Solid Surface

We are approved fabricators of Staron, Corian and many other solid surface products; we can manipulate these products into any shape required; counter tops vanity units, furniture, all works carried out by highly experience solid surface fabricators.
